Serving the very large capital city, this is the busiest airport in Latin America and is the main base for the national carrier Aeromexico. It saw 48 million passengers in 2023 and its website is www.aicm.com.mx/

Parking
There are three parking areas at the airport.
Terminal 1 Domestic - near gates 1 and 2, MXN27 for up to thirty minutes, MXN360 for 24 hours, valet option for additional MXN56
Terminal 1 International - next to the foreign bus terminal, MXN27 for up to thirty minutes, MXN360 for 24 hours
Terminal 2 - within the terminal facilities, MXN27 for up to thirty minutes, MXN360 for 24 hours
Drop Off
None identified, all three car parks are MXN27 for up to thirty minutes (about £1.25).

Immigration

Reclaim
In the reclaim area check the boards for which carousel you need to attend. Should luggage go astray you can visit the service desk where you can complete a PIR (Property Irregularity Report).

Taxis must be authorised to use the airport. Both four and eight-seat vehicles operate.

Buses and Coaches
Local/City
There is a bus that connects the airport to the city centre including to the City Museum, Paseo de la Reforma and Bellartes.
Line 4 starts at Buenavista Terminal before going via the San Lazaro Metro terminal, before coming to the airport. Boarding areas are at Terminal 1 near gate 7, and Terminal 2 near gate 2.
A single is MXN30 and you pay with a Metrobus smart card that can be bought from machines in the terminals. The bus operates 0430-0000, and 0500-0000 Sundays and holidays.

Other services pick up at Terminal 1 between gates 7 and 8 (access from the first level Hall F) and Terminal 2 through Concourse D gate 4.

Rail and Trams
The Metro runs from Terminal 1 where you will find Terminal Aerea station. This is on line 5 that runs from Plitecnico to Pantitlan and connects with the other eleven lines serving the city.
Tickets are MXN5 for a single using a Metro smart card, with a $10 fee for the card. The Metro runs 0500-0000 Mon - Fri, 0600-0000 Sat, 0700-0000 Sun and holdiays.

Terminal Transfer
There is an Aerotrain for connecting between the terminals.
In Terminal 1 it is accessed in the middle of Punete de Pilotos by first heading to Hall D. In Terminal 2 it is accessed through Hall M near departures.
It runs 0500-2300, always starting the day T2 to T1, and ending T1 to T2. It takes four minutes forty seconds and there is a train every eleven minutes.
An alternative is the Transportation Between Terminals bus that connects Terminal 1 at gate 6 with Terminal 2 at gate 4.
Car Hire
At Terminal 1 companies can be found at "national and international ambulatory" and in Terminal 2 at International Arrivals in the banking area.
Companies include Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Europcar, Green Motion, Hertz, Mex, National, Sixt and Thrifty.
