Serving the northwest of England, this is the third busiest airport in the United Kingdom, with 28 million passengers in 2023. Its website is www.manchesterairport.co.uk

Parking
Manchester is a large airport with a range of parking options - Meet & Greet (two minutes from check-in), T1/T3 Mid stay (three minutes to Terminal 3, ten minutes to Terminal 1), multi-storey (up to eight minutes to the terminal), Jet Parks (five to ten minute shuttle ride, five per hour), Drop and Go (five minutes walk to Terminal 3, five minutes shuttle to Terminals 1 and 2).

Drop Off
At Manchester there is a drop-off location outside each terminal. Charges are £5 for up to five minutes, £6 for up to ten minutes, £25 for over staying. If you try to pick up in the drop-off zone you will be fined £100.
There is also a free drop-off area. You will find it in Jet Parks 1 and there is a free six minute shuttle bus that can be used by the person dropping off too.

Immigration
For all international travellers you should check entry requirements on the official government site. In this case it is www.gov.uk/browse/visas-immigration and you will find details on the ETA scheme there too.
Reclaim
Just follow the signs after immigration and you will come to the baggage reclaim area. There are boards that you should check for your flight number, and that will indicate which carousel you need to attend. There are trolleys available in the area.
Customs
There are two channels - green (nothing to declare) and red (items to declare).

Taxis
Taxis are available at all terminals. This includes Black Cabs and private taxis from Street Cars.

Various services come in and out of the terminal.

Rail and Trams
There is a rail station at the airport that can be walked to within fifteen minutes from any part of the site.
Trains head to Manchester Piccadilly and the journey takes twenty minutes, with departures every ten minutes.
There is also a tram stop at the airport and the service is called Metro Link. The stop can be walked to within fifteen minutes from any part of the site. Trams run directly to Victoria station as well as the city centre, where you can easily connect with other parts of the network. Trams run every twelve minutes.

Meeting Points
There are no designated meeting points.
Terminal Transfers
Connections between the terminals are on foot using the Skylink walkways. It should be a maximum of fifteen minutes between terminals.
Car Hire
There are four main companies operating at the airport - Avis, Enterprise, Europcar and Sixt. The car hire area is reached using a free bus shuttle that takes about ten minutes.
