Named after John Lennon, the airport is southeast of the city, next to the river Mersey. It saw 4.2 million passengers in 2023. Its website is www.liverpoolairport.com

Parking
Liverpool has a few options - long stay (five minute walk to the terminal), multi-storey (one minute walk to the terminal), fast track (less than a minute walk to the terminal, includes two security fast track passes, family option offers four passes), meet and greet (one minute walk to the terminal, in effect this is valet parking). Drop Off
Express drop off is a one minute walk to the terminal and costs £5 for up to ten minutes, and £10 for up to twenty minutes and £25 for over that. It can also be used for pick up.
Alternatively the short stay car park can be used for drop off and is £8 for up to thirty minutes and £12 for up to an hour. It is also one minute walk to the terminal.
There is a further option, drop off 2, and that is five to ten minutes walk to the terminal and is free for up to forty minutes.

Immigration
For all international travellers you should check entry requirements on the official government site. In this case it is www.gov.uk/browse/visas-immigration and you will find details on the ETA scheme there too.
Reclaim
Just follow the signs after immigration and you will come to the baggage reclaim area. There are boards that you should check for your flight number, and that will indicate which carousel you need to attend. There are trolleys available in the area.
Customs
There are two channels - green (nothing to declare) and red (items to declare).

Taxis
Liverpool has a taxi rank directly outside the terminal for black cabs. Private hire vehicles must use the drop off car parks.
Buses and Coaches
National Express coaches operate from Liverpool One Coach Station so a connecting bus service is required. Megabus also operates routes from Liverpool One Coach Station. The bus services detailed below all go to the coach station.

Service 500 - to the city centre (including Lime Street rail station), two per hour, 0400-0000
80A - Liverpool South Parkway rail station, three per hour
81A - Bootle bus station, two per hour
82A - Runcorn, Widnes, two per hour
86A - Liverpool South Parkway, four per hour
Rail and Trams
Liverpool South Parkway is the nearest station and can be reached using the 80A and 86A buses. Lime Street is a station in the city and can be reached using the Service 500.
