Portugal's capital operates as the hub for TAP Air Portugal and is named after a former Air Force general and politician, Humberto Delgado. It saw 34 million passengers in 2023 and its website is www.lisbonairport.pt/en/lis/home

Parking 

There are a number of car parks at the airport.


P1 - premium, two-minute walk to the terminal, close to departures, €1.50 for fifteen minutes, €28 for 24 hours.

P2 - executive, three-minute walk to the terminal, close to arrivals, €1.25 for fifteen minutes, €18.20 for 24 hours.

P3 - five-minute walk to the terminal, uncovered, €1.10 for fifteen minutes, €8 for 24 hours (low cost) or €12.60 for 24 hours (low cost plus).

P6 - five-minute walk to the terminal, covering not known, €1.10 for fifteen minutes, €9 for 24 hours (classic) or €12.60 for 24 hours (classic plus).



Drop Off 

There are a couple of drop-off areas.


Drop Off 1 - free for ten minutes, €2 for up to fifteen minutes, €12 for up to thirty minutes.

Drop Off 2 - free for fifteen minutes, €6 for up to thirty minutes.


Security 

A fast track is available for €4.


Restaurants and Bars 

There are a number of locations at the airport.

There is one lounge at the airport.


ANA - 0600-2200, €37.26, free or discounted for some airlines


Assistance

Hotels 

There are two on-site hotels.


Star Inn - five-minute walk to the terminal and twenty minutes to the city

Melia Lisboa Aeroporto - two-minute walk to the terminal, four minutes from the Metro and twenty minutes to the city

Shuttles 

The Airport Shuttle mentioned under Buses is a paid service.


There is a shuttle for Terminal Transfers.


Immigration

Reclaim

In the reclaim area check the boards for which carousel you need to attend. Should luggage go astray you can visit the service desk where you can complete a PIR (Property Irregularity Report).


Customs

Taxis 

Taxis are found directly outside the airport.


It is between €10 and €15 to the city by taxi.

Any services via Bolt or Uber pick up at P2 Level 2 Arrivals and drop off at one of the two drop off areas, next to departures.


Buses and Coaches 

There are a few lines at the airport.


There is a baggage size limit of H50xW40xD20 on the public service buses. You should use a preloaded travel card, 7 Colinas/Viva Viagem, (cost €0.50), and using that the fare is €1.45, with 24 hours for €6.30. We have found references to an onboard fare of €1.80 and it is presumed that is by cash payment or card, but neither is confirmed.


There is also an Airport Shuttle that needs to be booked in advance. It costs €41 to the city centre.


Rail and Trams 

The airport has a Metro station, and runs on the Aerporto- Saldanha line. Journey time is about twenty minutes to the city centre.


To use the Metro you need a preloaded travel card, 7 Colinas/Viva Viagem, (cost €0.50) and will find single fares are €1.45, with 24 hours for €6.30.


There is a nearby train station called Gare do Oriente that can be reached in ten minutes via the Metro or bus lines 208,705 and 744. This is the main station so can give train access across the country.


Routes 

As well as connecting across Portugal and Europe, the airport also has some long-haul destinations, including to some not seen at many other European airports due to their links to Portugal. Terminal Transfer 

Terminal 2 is used for departures with Eurowings, Norwegian, Ryanair, Transavia, Volotea, Vueling , and Wizz Air.


There is no car parking as it is for departures only. It can be reached using a free shuttle from Terminal 1 Departures, which runs from 0330-0030, leaving every twelve minutes for a three-minute journey.
