Gatwick runway move

There are plans ahead for the Northern Runway at Gatwick.

It's not a new runway from scratch, and it won't mean moving the perimeter out at all.

Rather, the plan is to move the existing runway by twelve metres - that will allow for it to be used for departures only. Private funding will support the project and it is estimated to be bringing 14000 jobs, with an extra £1biullion coming into the local economy each year.
