easyJet move to Southend

London Southend, the smallest of the airports serving London, will get a boost next year.

easyJet has announced they will be basing three aircraft there and this will open up six routes - so far we know this will include Turkey and Tunisia. With 130 jobs being created it's great news for the area, as well as for passengers from East Anglia. This will be easyJet's tenth UK base. There will be more on this ahead of the start in March 2025. With 146k passengers in 2023, Southend hasn't had a feature post yet. If you think it deserves one, just let us know!
