This large airport serves as the gateway to the city itself but also operates as a hub for multiple long-haul destinations. In 2023 there were 87 million passengers. The airport's website can be found here www.dubaiairports.ae

Parking

There is a fairly easy structure for parking at Dubai.

Terminal 1 - Car Park A Premium (three minutes walk to the terminal, AED125 day one, AED100 thereafter), Car Park B Economy (nine minutes walk to the terminal, AED85 day one, AED75 thereafter)

Terminal 2 - Car Park A Premium (five minutes walk to the terminal, AED125 day one, AED100 thereafter), Car Park B Economy (twelve minutes walk to the terminal, AED70 day one, AED750 thereafter)

Terminal 3 - All Levels (three minutes walk to the terminal, AED125 day one, AED100 thereafter)

Drop Off 

The closest car parks all offer short-duration rates.


Terminal 1 - Car Park A Premium - AED5 for up to five minutes, AED15 for up to fifteen minutes, AED30 for up to thirty minutes.

Terminal 1 - Car Park B Economy - AED25 for up to one hour

Terminal 2 - Car Park A Premium - AED30 for up to one hour

Terminal 2 - Car Park B Economy - AED15 for up to oine hour

Terminal 3 - All Levels - AED5 for up to five minutes, AED15 for up to fifteen minutes, AED30 for up to thirty minutes.

Taxis 

Dubai taxis are cream in colour. If the taxi has a pink trim it has a female driver.


There is an official rank at each terminal and the Guest Experience Ambassadors can help you find them.


There is a standing AED25 charge for being at the airport, then each km is charged at AED1.97 per km. Taxis from DWC only have an AED5 pick up charge at present.


Buses and Coaches 

Stands are opposite the terminals. You must pay using a prepaid Nol card. Most routes head into the city.


Rail and Trams 

The airport has two Metro stations, Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Both of these are on the Red line, the main/longer line in Dubai.


The Metro runs from 0500-0000 Monday to Thursday, and Saturday, 0500-0100 Friday, 0800-0000 Sunday. The trains are about every five minutes at peak times.


You can take the Red line the length of Dubai and change to the Green line at Union or Khalid Bin Al Waleed.


You need a prepaid Nol card before going through a barrier. There are machines and staffed counters at the airport stations. The transport network is managed using the RTA Dubai app that allows you to manage the Nol card balance.


On the Metro you will find a Gold class carriage that costs a premium. In addition, there are carriages for women and children only.

Terminal Transfer 

Most transfers at Dubai do not require a change (presuming a through ticket).


Terminal 1 - D Gates - these can be reached via the airport train

Terminal 3 - B Gates and C Gates require a short walk, A Gates can be reached via the airport train


Any other transfers will require you to visit the transfer desk and if you require further help you can approach one of the Guest Experience Ambassadors.
