Serving the capital city of Ireland, this airport is a gateway to the rest of the island of Ireland. It saw 33 million passengers in 2023 and its website is https://www.dublinairport.com/

Parking

There are a range of car parks at Dublin.


Express Red - long-stay, five-minute free shuttle to the terminals, every ten minutes, 24 hours

Holiday Blue - long-stay, fifteen-minute free shuttle to the terminals, every fifteen minutes, 24 hours

Express Green - long-stay, five-minute free shuttle to the terminals, every twenty minutes, 24 hours

Terminal 2 Surface - long-stay, five-minute walk to the terminals, minimum three-day stay

Terminal 1 Car Park A - short-stay, two-minute walk to the terminals

Terminal 1 Car Park C - short-stay, five-minute walk to Terminal 1, six-minute walk to Terminal 2

Terminal 2 Short Term - short-stay, four-minute walk to Terminal 2

Drop & Go - effectively Valet parking, accessed via Terminal 2 Short Term car park Level 3, parked and then available for pick-up where you dropped it off


Short-term options are 3 for the first hour, 4.50 per hour after that, and a maximum of 40. This may be reduced by pre-booking.


Express Red is €15 per day, Holiday Blue €14 per day. This may be redcued by pre-booking.


The shuttle for the long-stay car parks (red, blue and green) stop at

  • Terminal 1 - zones 8/9 of the Bus Park, behind Block A/B of the T1 multi-storey car park

  • Terminal 2 - zone 21, opposite ground floor entrance to departures



Drop Off

The airport has specific areas outside the terminals but these are designed for quick drop offs and pick ups.


As noted in Parking, the short-term car parks offer an hour for €3.

Fast Track is available at a variable rate from €7.99 to €12.99. This is available 0400-2100 at Terminal 1 and 0400-1800 at Terminal 2.

Note - The Loop contains multiple brands/counters with many of the names you would expect at an International airport


The airport offers Click & Collect and Shop & Collect services.


Lounges

There are a few lounges at the airport.


Terminal 1 - second floor between the security lanes, 0400-2100, €35 (€40 on the door)

Terminal 2 - adjacent to the 400 Departure gates, 0500-1900, €30 (€35 on the door)

East Lounge - after security in the Terminal connecting corridor, 0500-2130, €42 (€46 on the door)

51st & Green - after US Preclearance Terminal 2, 0715-1600, €41 (€45 on the door)

Radisson Hotel Dublin Airport, shuttle 24 hours or ten-minute walk to the terminals

In the reclaim area check the boards for which carousel you need to attend.

Taxis

Taxis drop off directly outside the terminals and there are signposted ranks for leaving the airport.


Licensed taxis must display driver information and will take journeys of up to 30km (18.75 miles).


Taxis cost €3.80 initially then €1.14/km or €0.40 per minute. This applies Monday to Saturday, with a premium 2000-0800, on Sundays and holidays. Extra passengers incur additional fees.


A typical fare would be up to €25 to Busaras, up to €40 to Heuston station and up to €30 for the city centre.

The 41 service runs 24 hours.


There are then an array of national coach services from Dublin Express, Aircoach, City Link, Go Bus, Expressway, Bus Eireann, Go Ahead, Dublin Bus, Translink, Wexford Bus, JJ Kavanagh, Dublin Coach, Flight Link, Airport Hopper and John McGinley.


Rail and Trams

There is no station at the airport so travellers would need to head into the city for either Heuston or Connolly stations.
