The airport is seven and a half miles northeast of the city, the capital of Belgium. It is a base for Brussels Airlines and TUI, and houses one terminal with three runways. It saw 22 million passengers in 2023 and its website is www.brusselsairport.be/en/passengers

Parking
There are a few options at the airport. P1, P2, and P3 - opposite the departure hall, under a five-minute walk to the terminal, variable rates
P1 VIP - hand over your keys, optional extra services, €40 for 24 hours
Lock - opposite the departure hall (next to the Sheraton hotel), enhanced security, €29 for 24 hours
Remote - free shuttle to the terminal 0530-2300 via service buses, designated shuttle every fifteen minutes 2300-0530, €53 for 24 to 96 hours, low day rate after that

Drop Off
The three car parks close to the terminal all offer ten minutes free parking - that is car parks P1, P2, and P3. After that there is a charge of €12 then €3 for each additional minute. This is in a specific drop-off area.
In addition, there is a short-stay area that is charged at €3 for thirty minutes and €5 for up to sixty minutes.

Some shops offer ordering online but it depends on flight.
Lounges
There are a couple of choices.
Diamond - Gates A, 0430-2100, near Gate A42 via escalator, €37.50
Diamond - Gates B, 0500-2200, near gates B012 and B05 via stairs or lift, €37.50
There is also a Brussels Airlines lounge for that airline and Star Alliance, as well as meeting rooms.
Assistance

Shuttles
Hotels listed above have a shuttle service and the hotel shuttles leave from bus platform E. The bus station can be found one floor down from the arrivals hall at level 0, with escalator and lift access.
Immigration

Reclaim
In the reclaim area check the boards for which carousel you need to attend. Should luggage go astray you can visit the service desk where you can complete a PIR (Property Irregularity Report).
Customs

Taxis
Official taxis can be found outside the arrivals hall and will have a T-license plate and a blue-yellow symbol that says "Zaventem".

Buses and Coaches
There are local buses and those for further afield. The bus station can be found one floor down from the arrivals hall at level 0, with escalator and lift access.
Local
De Lijn - around the airport and to Brussels North, ticket onboard with contactless or via their app
Ringtrambus - connects to Vlaamse Rand via route 820, every fifteen minutes weekdays (every thirty minutes Saturdays, every hour Sundays), 0530-2230, from platform D
STIB line 12 - heads to the European District in thirty minutes, €7 contactless, €7.50 from machines
Intercity
Flibco - Lille-Kortrijk-Ghent and Tilburg-Breda-Antwerp

Rail and Trams
There is a station at the airport and there are up to eight trains per hour to the city centre. In addition, most Belgian cities can be reached with one change.
The station can be found under the Departure and Arrival halls at level -1, with access by escalator or lift.
To Brussels - eight per hour, two of which head to Schumann station (European District), 0524-0000 weekdays, until 2300 weekends with five per hour, about seventeen minutes to the city
Beyond Belgium, Rotterdam can be reached in one hour forty minutes, and Amsterdam in two hours thirty minutes.
Note that fares carry a Diabolo supplement of €6.70 (relating to a tunnel that the route uses)
