BKK - Bangkok Suvarnabhumi

The main airport for Thailand's capital, with its secondary name meaning Land of Gold, it serves as a gateway to the country and region, and is also a busy cargo hub. It saw 52 million passengers in 2023 and its website is suvarnabhumi.airportthai.co.th/

Parking

Parking at the airport is in zones with zones 2 through to 7. In these zones it is charged at THB25 for up to an hour and THB250 for 24 hours. The full names are Zone 2 parking Building, Zone 3 parking Building, Zone 4 Parking Lot, Zone 5 Parking Lot, Zone 6 Parking Lot and Zone 7 Parking Lot.


There is then a long-term option in zones A and D which is charged at THB20 for up to an hour and THB140 up to 24 hours. The full names are Zone A Parking Lot and Zone D Public Transportation Center.


Drop Off

Drop-off and pick up is available at all car parks for free for up to fifteen minutes.


Security

A Fast Track option is available for First and Business Class passengers, infants, pregnant women, disabled and some other groups.


Although part of check in, twenty-three airlines offer check-in four hours before departure.

The Wisdom - main terminal, aimed at business customers

Miracle CIP/VIP - main terminal, 24 hours, THB1000, First and Business Class

There is one full hotel at the airport.


Novotel - next to the terminal, five minute walk to the terminal, free shuttle van (24 hours from gate 4), short stay options available (up to four hours any time, four to ten hours 0600-1800)

Miracle - four to twelve hour stays

Shuttles

There is a free shuttle to the Transport Center.

Reclaim

In the reclaim area check the boards for which carousel you need to attend. Should luggage go astray you can visit the service desk where you can complete a PIR (Property Irregularity Report).

Taxis

Taxis can be found at Gate 4 at the terminal.


Buses and Coaches

Various bus options are available at the Transport Center.


550 to 559 - these ten routes head to various places, cost is THB35, two to four buses per hour, routes taking up to an hour. Destinations include Happy Land (550), Victory Monument (551), NUT BTS Station (552), Samut Prakan (553), Don Mueang Airport (554), Rangsit (555), Southern Bus Terminal (556), Wongwien Yai (557), Central Rama 2 (558), Future park rangsit (559).

Limo Bus - forty-five to sixty minutes to Khaosan via Phayathai, forty-five to sixty minutes


Rail and Trams

There is a city rail link available.


Bangkok Airport Air Link - 0600-0000, thirty minute journey, every ten minutes (0600-0900, 1600-2000) and every fifteen minutes at other times.
